Day 1
Thursday

Arrival at the airport and warm welcome from a local guide speaking your language.

Transfer to the hotel and route information on the way.

Day 2
Friday

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with a local guide at the reception.

Bus city tour visiting the landmarks (historical centre, Red Square and the Kremlin, Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the White House, the Seven Sisters skyscrapers, the main building of Moscow State University, capture the panoramic views from the Sparrow Hills, go past the Russian Hollywood – Mosfilm, Novodevichy Convent, visit the Victory Park and Triumphal Arch of Moscow and become impressed by a jaw-dropping sight of Moscow-City skyscrapers.

Lunch in a restaurant

Excursion to the Tretyakov Gallery to admire the splendor of the finest Russian painting as the gallery boasts of the largest collection of classical arts including Alexei Savrasov, Vasily Surikov, Ilya Repin, Ivan Shishkin, Valentin Serov, Viktor Vasnetsov, Mikhail Vrubel, Kazimir Malevich, special collection of the 12th century icons by Andrey Rublev.

Day 3
Saturday

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with a guide.

Departure for an outing to Sergiev Posad (ex-Zagorsk) to visit the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, a monument of culture and art included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage. Sergiev Posad is included in the list of Golden Ring towns. The Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius is an active monastery with about 300 brothers and located in about 60 km away from Moscow. It was founded at the beginning of the XIV century by St.Sergius of Radonezh, one of the foremost Russian saints whose relics are treasured in the Trinity Cathedral. The monastery of Sergiev Posad played an important role in the history of the Russian state and in the development of the national culture; Russian tsars and governors revered the monastery and lent it different assistance. The whole ensemble is a part of UNESCO World Heritage. On the territory there are about 50 historically significant buildings dated XV-XIX centuries, the most remarkable ones are  the Trinity Cathedral, where Andrey Rublev participated in decorating the iconostasis and painted his most famous icon “Trinity”; gorgeous Assumption Cathedral, is the Lavra’s biggest church; the five-tier baroque Bell Tower, the Refectory Church of St Sergius to name only a few.

Day 4
Monday

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with a local guide at the reception.

Set off for the guided Kremlin tour to see the territory inside the ancient fortress and observe the residence of the Russian President. The Kremlin ensemble is included into the UNESCO Heritage list and you have a chance to gaze at the impressing Tsar Bell and the Tsar Cannon, walk past the Palace, the Kremlin Arsenal, and the Kremlin Senate, enter one of the cathedrals in the very heart of the fortress.

Continue exploration of the historical centre of the city, step on the Kilometer Zero point where all distances are measured from, walk onto the territory of Red Square through the main gate and admire the vivid and colorful picture in front: glorious GUM, bright colors of St.Basil’s cathedral, see the Spasskaya tower that is a symbol familiar to all the visitors. One must-do thing is to taste legendary Soviet ice-cream in GUM and have a look at superb shopping galleries of the best brands from all over the world as Red Square is a perfect place not only for sightseeing but shopping as well. The newest attraction is Zaryadye park that is located within a walking distance from GUM and St.Basil’s cathedral and represents the idea of a natural park in a busy city centre.

Tour in Moscow metro.

Strange but it is –in Moscow metro it isn’t just a ride from A to B or a museum, the metro is is called the most beautiful in the world – 44 of  nearly 265 stations are listed as cultural heritage sites. During our tour ypu’ll see Komsomolskaya, Revolution square, Novoslobodskaya, Mayakovskaya, Kievskaya stations and will learn lots of interesting facts like what brings fortune in Revolution square, where there are mosaic panels from smalt and valuable stone or windows from multi-colored glass or what is a secret metro. According to the Moscow transport department, its accuracy equals 99.99 percent. This is quite impressive considering that the interval between trains during rush hour is only 90 seconds. 

The tour ends in Old Arbat that is the most noted pedestrian street in Moscow. The Arbat is a synonym to all the pedestrian streets in Russian cities. It is not a very long street with the length of only 1.2 km, but one can walk along the Arbat all day long, one can visit plenty of souvenir shops, enjoy lunch or dinner in one of its restaurants, order a portrait from a street artist or stop and listen to street musicians.

Day 5
Tuesday

Visit to VDNH, a unique historical and architectural complex with no analogues in the world. One can observe the Soviet history in development under the open sky, from its very first days when the territory has been a laboratory for experiments of the most prominent Soviet architects, sculptors and artists till its rebirth nowadays. This year VDNKH celebrates its 80th anniversary and welcomes visitors in all its beauty.

Excursion to the Space Museum (Memorial Museum of Astronautics) is a superb tourist spot for both children and adults as no one can resist the temptation to get into the real cabin of a space ship.

The final highlight of the day is the Ostankino TV tower already visited by more than 12 million tourists. To rise to a height of 540 meters is a great opportunity to gaze at life and our everyday routine from above. Towers, skyscrapers have always attracted people as these tall buildings symbolize drive for the progress and conquering new peaks.

Day 6
Wednesday

 Breakfast at the hotel, meeting with a local guide.

Transfer to a museum-reserve Kolomenskoye, an ensemble of Russian Grand Princes and Tsars’ country estate with the territory of about 390 hectares, located in the south of Moscow. Kolomenskoye became Tsars’ summer residence in the XV century. Up till now many historical buildings have been preserved on its territory. The most prominent one is Ascension Church, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage monument

Transfer to the city centre.
